Its been almost 17 years since I wrote up my first commercial workout for a client. Since that time there has been hundreds if not thousands of variations that I have shared with clients over the years. And still to this day…one of not only my favorites…but clients as well….and as well the easiest to implement into your daily (busy) life.
Today’s version is actually one that I shared with my online/mobile clients just this morning. I added it to their bonus video workout vaults that they can use anytime they choose or as an alternate to their scheduled workouts on their calendars.

For the version I shared today…for every commercial that comes on while you are watching TV…alternate the exercises between each. Perform as many reps as you can with excellent form for the durations of each commercial. Each time a commercial break happens during the show(s) you are watching – perform the supersets below. Typical commercial breaks are about 2-3 minutes….so for a 30 minute show you will end up with a 8 minute workout. And for a 1 hour show…you will end up with about a 16 minute workout in total.
BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE OPTION
Perform the first exercise for the 1st commercial…then the 2nd exercise for the next. Repeat the two exercises alternating for the entire commercial duration. Then repeat this same format for every commercial break during your show.
1st Commercial – Jumping Jacks
2nd Commercial – Body Weight Squats or Squat Jumps
INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED OPTION
Just as in the BEG/INT option – perform the first exercise for the 1st commercial…then the 2nd exercise for the next. Repeat the two exercises alternating for the entire commercial duration. Then repeat this same format for every commercial break during your show.
1st Commercial – Jump Rope
2nd Commercial – Burpees
