A Tabouli Salad is a powerfully nutritious salad that can stand alone on its own or be a component to almost any meal.  It has a strong history, with different variations depending on regions you research.  Here is just one such example:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup of fresh mint leaves – chopped
  • 2 cups of fresh parsley – chopped
  • 1-2 cucumbers – chopped
  • 2 tomatoes – chopped
  • 6-8 green onions – chopped
  • 1 clove garlic – chopped
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Combine everything together in a large enough bowl and toss until mixed to your desire.
