Here is one of my collections of over 30 delicious, nutritious, fat-blasting smoothie recipes which can be used for a quick, healthy snack, powerful pre or post workout shake or a breakfast when you’re in a rush.

It really isn’t rocket science, like a lot of the chain smoothie shops try to make it appear, when needing a great tasting and high energy meal.

The majority of products you will need are a multi blend protein powder (like JayLabPro), wheat germ, oatmeal, soy powder, rice powder, flaxseed oil, natural peanut butter, fruit, veggies and a variety of milk products. All of the products required for these shakes can be found at your local health food store.

You will discover how creative you can be with these meals by adding a variety of flavors like tofu, jams, combinations of fruits, veggies, honey, gram crackers, mint and syrups, but this will alter the nutritional value.

You’ll definitely want to invest into a blender and a juicer (anywhere from $40-$100 each) but con-sider this an investment that will actually save you money because you will eat out less and eat less protein bars.

Making these power meals for your friends will become an instant hit and I think you will really enjoy the wide variety of new fat blasting recipes you have for your arsenal.

MINT CHOCOLATE

PEANUT BUTTER CUP

CHOCOLATE MOCHA

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein power
  • 4-8oz iced coffee (decaf or regular – put a pre-made batch in the refrigerator the night before)
  • 0-4oz water (depending on how thick you want your Chocolate Mocha)
  • 1 cup ice
  • * optional – add a drop of mint extract for a Chocolate Mint Mocha!
  • * optional – add a small handful of espresso beans into your blender instead of actual iced coffee – this adds quite the kick!

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SHAKE

  • 1-3 scoops of chocolate protein powder
  • 1 cup of 1% chocolate milk
  • ½ cup of cottage cheese
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1.5 cup of ice
  • Splenda, for taste

CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRY

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein power
  • 8oz water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • * optional – squirt sugar free chocolate syrup along the sides of your smoothie glass before you pour in your shake. It tastes and looks cool all at the same time.

STRAWBERRY BANANA SWIRL

  • 1 scoop strawberry or vanilla protein power
  • 8oz water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ of a banana
  • * optional – squirt sugar free chocolate syrup along the sides of your smoothie glass before you pour in your shake. It tastes and looks cool all at the same time.

BERRY BLAST WITH AN ANTIOXIDANT KICK

SMOOTHIE CLASSIC

  • 1-3 scoops of chocolate protein powder
  • 1 cup of banana
  • 1 tbs of natural or organic peanut butter
  • 4 graham crackers
  • 2 cups of skim milk
  • 1 cup of ice

BLUEBERRY OVERDRIVE

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein power
  • 8oz water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

ENDURANCE BREAKFAST

  • 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla or strawberry protein power
  • 8oz water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 cup whole oats (like the old fashion ones you cook to make oatmeal)

ALMOND COCONUT SHAKE

  • 1-3 scoops of chocolate protein powder
  • 1 cup of 1% chocolate milk
  • 6 almonds
  • 1 tbsp of grated coconut
  • Splenda for taste
  • ½ cup of almond extract
  • 1 cup of ice

BLAST OFF BERRY

  • 1-3 scoops of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup of frozen blackberries
  • ½ cup of frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup of non-fat yogurt
  • ½ cup of non fat plain yogurt
  • 1 tbs of honey
  • 1 cup of ice

BANANA CREAM PIE

  • 1-3 scoops of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 and ½ cups of skim milk
  • ½ cup of bananas
  • 4 graham crackers
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon

COOKIE TEASER

  • 1-3 scoops of vanilla protein powder
  • 3 chocolate wafers
  • 3 drops of mint extract
  • ½ cup of ice cubes
  • 1 and ½ cups of skim milk

MOCHA JAVA

  • 1-3 scoops of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 and ½ cups of skim milk
  • 1 spoon of chocolate syrup
  • 1 spoon of instant coffee

CREAMY ORANGE DELIGHT

  • 1-3 scoops of protein powder
  • ½ cup of skim milk
  • 1 and ½ cups of orange Gatorade
  • ½ cup of ice

KICK OF CAFFIENE

TROPICAL DELIGHT

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • ¼ pineapple, peeled and cored
  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt
  • 6 ice cubes

RAINBOW ICE

  • ¼ fresh pineapple, peeled
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • 3 scoops raspberry sherbet

ORANGE ICE

  • ¼ pineapple, peeled
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • 3 scoops orange sherbet

KEEP THE DOCTOR AWAY

  • ½ cup cranberries
  • ½ cup raspberries
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • ½ cup white grapes
  • 1 teaspoon honey

RISE AND SHINE

  • ½ ruby red grapefruit, peeled
  • 1 pear
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 cup white grapes
